Layken's First Day of School

What a big girl! Layken started 3 year old school and she was so ready! She had her backpack and she was ready to go! She kept telling Landry, "I'm a big girl, brother, I'm going to school with Mommy." Calvin and I walked her to her class and she was a little apprehensive, but walked right in. Me, on the other hand, I sobbed going back to my classroom and quickly had to dry it up to greet my kindergarteners! Oh, our baby girl is growing up!

Lane Andrew Farrar

I decided to post pictures of Lane's headstone. We go out there alot. It took us nearly a year to finally pick one out and have it set. It was one of the hardest things to do. Layken always kisses his picture.

One year celebration

A couple of days after Landry's bday, I took him to his one year well check and he was 22 pounds and 30 inches tall! She said he looked great and he really was not behind at all! Now if we can just get him off of the bottle! We took his picture with his pediatrician, Dr. Guetersloh.(lady with long brown hair) Then we went to visit the nurses at the hospital. We took a picture with Kay, the nurse practioner who did my many sonograms over those two months in the hospital, and also Paige, one of my dear, favorite nurses. They were so glad to see Landry and how much he had grown. Then we went to see Dr. Lampkin, my OB, and his nurse Sylvia. They were all so sweet and are all like family to us!

The flower pictures are from Mother's day. Mother's Day fell on the anniversary of Lane's passing this year. The birthday was not bad at all....this day was by far the worst. It was great, in that I spent it going to church with my family and we put flowers on the altar to remember all three of our angel children. It was sad on the other hand because we did not have Lane. However, we know that we DO have Lane in our hearts! That is what keeps me going.. We will see him again! Getting past that one year anniversary was a feat in itself, now we are just looking forward and focusing on the positive...our two beautiful children on earth and the love we all share for each other!

Summer is HERE!

As you can tell, I am trying to catch up on my posting! The end of school was so crazy for me. Now, I am home with my kiddoes and it feels so good! Last summer was really hard for our family and I felt like I was a zombie just going through the motions. This summer, I actually have the kids on a good schedule. We have already been om our swimming pool a number of times! Landry goes down for a short nap in the mornings and that is when Layken and I spend some time together playing "school", watercoloring, or playing outside. I get them to go down about 1:30 and they sleep until 3:30 and sometimes 4! I am alot happier person when they get that nap in! What I thought might be a long summer, just might turn into the most enjoyable, especially spending time with our kiddoes! They mean everything to me and I thank God each day for them!

Just more pics of the birthday party!

Landry's first birthday

Well, here are some pics from Landry's first birthday. Landry had a blast! He absolutely LOVED that sweet, blue icing. Layken had fun helping him open his presents. After the birthday party, we went out to the cemetery and let go balloons in honor of Lane's birthday, too. It was a very hard day, but also very uplifting. Landry has come such a long way from being on the ventilator when he was born!

Layken turned 3!!!

We had so much fun at Layken's party! We finally got to have the party that we did not get to last year because I was in the hospital with the boys. Her little friends and most of our family and friends were there. She got lots of shoes, outfits, and toys! Landry did not know what to think of everyone passing him around!

Easter Bunny

I was so shocked that both of my kids like the Easter Bunny! I guess he is less scary than Santa! Anyway, Layken wanted to know why he does not close his mouth. The things kids think of! I will post more Easter pictures soon!

Long time, No Blog

Well, it has been quite a while since my last post. I guess that is what happens when you are trying to wrangle two kids, a husband, and 14 kindergarteners! Layken and Landry are growing soo much! Layken will be 3 on March 23rd! She is just growing up too fast. She loves to ride her tricycle and sing in her microphone. When we watch American Idol, she says, "I want to watch the singas." We are planning a birthday party for March 29th. We are having the party that we DIDN'T get to have last year because I was in the hospital. It is hard to believe that on March 20th it will be a year since I was first admitted to the hospital with the boys!

Landry is 10 months old now and getting into everything! He is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and teething on anything! He is saying "DaDa" mostly. He is such an easy baby and he loves his sister! Oh, and did I mention he is a Momma's boy??
